Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account info: your email address, and either a password managed securely by our authentication provider (we never see or store your plaintext password) or, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, your name and email address as provided by that service.
• Card content: any photo you upload, the description, occasion, recipient name, and message you write, and the AI-generated image/video that results.
• Recipient info: the email address you send a card to, if you use the in-app email delivery feature.
• Payment info: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) -- we never see or store your card number. We do keep a record of what you purchased and the amount charged.
• Technical info: standard web request data (like IP address) our hosting provider logs to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Generate the card you request and deliver it to you and/or your chosen recipient;
• Process payment and maintain your account and credit/subscription balance;
• Send transactional emails (e.g., “your card is ready,” delivery confirmations);
• Send you a reminder email the following year, only if you opt in when sending a card;
• Send occasional product emails, only if you opt in in your account settings;
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that operate the Service on our behalf, and only as needed for that purpose: our payment processor (Stripe) to process purchases, our email provider to deliver messages, our AI providers to generate images and video, and our hosting/database provider to store your account and card data securely. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for anything other than providing their service to us.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and card data for as long as your account is active, so your cards and their share links keep working. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time -- see “Your choices” below.

6. Your choices

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime from your account settings;
• Unsubscribe from a specific occasion reminder using the link in that email;
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@virtualcards.ai.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes.
